Higher Ground at Manitou

Four years ago, Manitou began development of the nonprofit Higher Ground Conservation Burial project soon to launch. As a 5-acre carve-out of the Manitou land, Higher Ground embodies a conservation strategy in a beautiful and peaceful setting for laying loved ones to rest in the most ecologically sound way possible. It does so through an uplifting experience that draws on an entire community of support we have built around the passage of loved ones. Visit the website for this inspirational story and newly unveiled resource to not only the region, but neighboring states as well.

For additional practical information on natural burial, go to the Green Burial Council and Conservation Burial Alliance, to which Higher Ground belongs.
